SPECIAL INSPECTIONS AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING

Marquess provides quality and dependability in the special inspection and construction quality control industry. Our team of special inspectors and testers have provided these services in Southern Oregon and Northern California on projects ranging from small commercial buildings to large scale manufacturing facilities, including multi-story prestressed concrete structures.

Marquess & Associates provides high quality materials testing and special inspection services both at the site and at our materials testing laboratory. Our testing lab is equipped with contemporary digital equipment and we perform all typical concrete, masonry, grout, and mortar strength tests. In addition, our highly trained, certified and experienced special inspectors perform on-site inspections of concrete, prestressed concrete, rebar, masonry, welding, structural steel and fireproofing installations.

Testing Equipment-

• Soil-unconfined compression, nuclear field density, consolidation swell, proctors, sieves, Corps of Engineers knocker, augers, oven, electronic balance
• Concrete and Masonry-compression for cylinders and masonry blocks, curing tanks, capping equipment with temperature and humidity control, scales
• Asphalt-nuclear field density
• Fireproofing-oven, scales, tools
• In-place Masonry-calibrated jacking ram and preparatory tools
• Pull testing of bolts

We operate in compliance with standard industry and agency standards including ASTM, ACI, ICBO, AWI, and ODOT. Inspections of our facility are performed regularly by ODOT and our personnel are regularly recertified for testing skills.
